(I'd prefer to spell it as "I/O-Diversity" but blog search engines being what they are ...)
"iodiversity" think BIO-Diversity but for all things digital, is part metaphor, part word-pun, but also part hardcore design principle in cognitive modelling and artificial intelligence.
"iodiversity" names an interdisciplinary framework to bring together results from the sciences of ‘human intelligence’ and ‘machine intelligence’.
"iodiversity" represents a perspective on the challenges of designing and engineering future intelligent machines.
Whatever one thinks is currently pushing the boundaries of machine intelligence design, all communities of endeavour need to embrace more design sources (be that brains, culture, genetics, analog or alternative digital architectures) and more toolsets at the outset of their research work.
This site is an effort to assemble and comment on any and all sources, beyond the obvious, and their impact on cognitive modelling and building future successful MI architectures.
The “iodiversity scale” (C) will be introduced in subsequent posts and essays.
I like discussing, learning, reading and writing things out for clarity.
